For the show broadcast between March 8th and March 14th, 2008
Times are always interesting around the show, and this was no different than normal. Photographs were taken, and shall be posted very soon, but for some reason, our mystery man remains hidden. Care to take a guess who it might be?
Benjamin noted that a number of teachers are getting bent out of shape over teenagers building websites, some in parody, and some that were downright mean and malicious. Of course, the discussion rolled back and forth about the legitimacy of teaching students about their First Amendment rights, and then suing them for exercising them. A very slippery potential for serious damage in either direction.
There were a variety of discussions, including the Vista Snipping Tool, and also an examination of the end difference between Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Ware, three programs that allow one to run Windows XP and XP programs... on a Mac!
Conversation rolled around to eCommerce, eBay lowering the listing fees, and Benjamin made a bold prediction that eBay was starting to stagnate in growth. Benjamin also mentioned about a Mary Jo Pletz, who was running afoul of Pennsylvania's auction laws... by using eBay!?!?!
Job (after the book within the Bible) called in, and he had some problems with his computer just croaking when it had been on for a while. Benjamin suggested that he change the thermal grease for starters, and check fans for proper operation, and replace as needed.
We heard from Mike who had a serious keyboard problem, as well as Diane who asked about replacing her computer in Windows 98. Finally, we spoke with Raul who had some questions and comments to the triple threat.
