For the show broadcast between April 19th and April 25th, 2008
Benjamin covered some of the SCARY details on how much people can pay for YOUR information. Symantec did some serious underground testing on the going rates for your bank accounts, credit cards, e-mail addresses (AND PASSWORDS)
We spoke to Larry Haertling (and then reeled him in as he got carried away!) from Nation Star Lending, who gave us some interesting information on websites for real estate, lending, and credit stuff. There was some mention about the devil-powered website (you gotta listen to that part!), and more... Amongst the many websites were Zillow.com, MyFico.com, and Trulia.com, RedFin.com, and CyberHomes.com. If you're watching your credit scores and more, you need to listen to the audio files, and get all of this information!!!
Wells Fargo has a new thing called vSafe which is an on-line "safety deposit box", but Benjamin really shook his head at that one. Think about it... why pay these guys $$$ for something you can do by burning a CD and leaving it in your existing safety deposit box or handing it to your best friend or a good relative???
Ozzy had questions regarding Windows Media Player and downloading covers. Gillian asked about antivirus software, and Benjamin recomended AVG if she was cheap, but Trend Micro's software if she was willing to pay for the added security from Trend's excellent software product.
Benjamin talked to "Niche-e-laus" about how much power was needed for a 2nd Video Card... (hehehe, you have to hear that one!). Also, Blanca called in and wanted to know how to handle e-mail when she went on vacation to PARIS, FRANCE... and Benjamin helped them all. Alex asked about moving files from his phone to his computer, and Benjamin suggested BitPim.org and a cheap cable from eBay to solve it all!!!
